Happy Halloween!

Ty was "Woody" from Toy Story. He loves that movie and wants to watch it everyday. My mom made his costume. Didn't she do such a great job. I was so happy that Ty kept it on the whole night....even the boots. He loved them. All I had for Kate was a little ballerina too too. Oh well, I'll do better next year. We had a big Halloween party at my brothers house. I made bread bowls for the soup. Becky, my sister-in-law, made this amazing dessert. And my sister, Jenn, made soup. Everything was so yummy. All the kids had so much fun.

My sister Lori was an Angel

Becky my sister-in-law was a Hippie
My silly brother Brandon
My mom was Cleopatra
My sister Jenn was a Crazy Fairy

3 Months Old

Wow, time is just flying by. My baby girl is 3 months old. She is sure getting chunky. At her 2 month appointment she was 12.2 lbs and 23 inches long. Ty is now getting to the point where he likes to read books to Kate. He will show her pictures and pull her hand to touch the pages. He nows a lot of the objects in his books and will point them out to her. He talks nonstop and says just about every word we say. What a fun stage he is at right now, I love it.

Play Mat for Ty

I just finished this play mat for Ty. I first saw this fabric (Merryville by Michael Miller) on a blog, she had made a play mat for her son with it and I thought it was a great idea. I, of course, got on ebay and found the same fabric and ordered it right away. I picked this fun brigh orange for the back and I took it a step further and put number, shapes and colors on the back and added ties so it can be rolled up. It was a fun project. I love how it turned out. Ty loves playing with it and pointing out all the objects on the front like swing, bus, airplane, ball, etc...never ending fun!

Kissing Cousins

We went to Spencer's brothers house to watch the BYU game Saturday night and Ty now has a favorite cousin....a kissing cousin. Her name is Hannah, she is almost 3 years old and they had so much fun playing together. They were inseparable all night. She loves to give kisses and you can see from the picture that Ty was a willing participant. It was so adorable!!

Birthday and a Fort

Happy 31st Birthday Spencer!

Yesterday was Spencer's birthday. My mom watched the kids so we could go out on a date. While we were gone my mom made Ty this cool teepee fort from cardboard. He has played in it all day. He even let Kate play with him in his fort. We had fun coloring the outside together when we got home.

One Month Old

Well, she is acutally about 7 weeks but I am a little behind on taking the picture. She smiles all the time and is cooing too. She has Spencer's dimples and I love it!! She is so much fun I can't stand it.
Ty still likes her, which is a relief. He always has to be next to her or holding her hand when she is around him. Here they are watching cartoons together. So cute. I love my kids!

Ty Loves Kate

Ty is always asking to hold the baby. He loves to hold her hand and kiss her little face. The first thing he asks for in the morning when we pull him out of his crib is, "beebee, beebee". He hasn't quite got down her name yet but we are working on it. He just loves her so much and she can always bring a smile to his face when he gets to hold her.

More of Kate

There isn't a really exciting birthing story but I will give you a quick rundown. We checked into the hospital at 7am Tuesday morning. My c-section was scheduled for 9am. At around 7:15am my doctor came in to see me and said they had a cancellation and they were ready for me right away. They still hadn't done all the paperwork and "checking me in" stuff so 4 other nurses came in and started doing all of it at once. It was pretty funny. I was saying yes, no, yes, no to all of them around the room to all of their questions. One was putting and IV in me an another taking some blood. They were fast and we were ready to go by 8am. Now the anesthesiologist wasn't ready and I had to sit and wait in my room for another 40 minutes. So by the time he was ready and I got my spinal block they started my c-section at 9am...the original time. Kate Jarvis was born at 9:12am and I was wheeled out of surgery by about 10am. I have healed a little quicker this time around and I am actually going home this afternoon instead of tomorrow. Kate is doing great and is very healthy! Spencer brought Ty up yesterday to see his new little sister. He was cute with her and tried to take he right out of Spencer's hands and he also gave her a kiss. After that he was done, not interested and instead ran around the room getting into everything possible. It was good to see him though...I have missed him so much.
