Another Baby Quilt

My younger sister Stephanie is pregnant, expecting her first child. She is having a boy and I couldn't be happier for her and her husband. I made a baby quilt for the new little one, who is due July 10, about 10 days before my baby. I tried a new technique called free motion quilting or stippling on this quilt. I loved how it turned out, all crinkly. Congratulations Stephanie and Josh.

It's a...

GIRL!

We are so excited to be having a little girl. I bought a pink outfit on our way home to celebrate and when we got home Ty was caring it around the house. I told him it was sissy's outfit and he started saying, "sissy, sissy" as he carried it around the house. So cute!

Baby Shower Gifts

Two of my friends are having babies. One just had her baby and the other is due any day. I decided to make them blanket and onesie matching sets. The green dot/apple set is for Ashley, and she is having a boy. The flower/heart set is for Danielle and she just had a girl. They were fun and quite easy to make. Congratulations Ashley and Danielle!

A Quick Project

So I had had enough of "where's my keys?", "where's my phone?" and "where's my wallet?" from both of us. We used to have a place for those things but it was in Ty's reach and that was turning into a disaster. So, yesterday I made this little organizer. It only took me a couple of hours and it all cost under $20! Just a quick trip to Lowe's and Wal-mart and presto!
Supplies: pegboard, spray paint, canvas fabric, hooks and basket.

Where's Ty?

Yesterday I was busy getting the house ready for some friends to come over. I was in the kitchen preparing some food and Ty was playing in the living room. It got a little quiet but I could still hear him bang around every once in a while. Then all of a sudden I hear this little distressed cry for help. I walked into the living room looking for Ty and I didn't see him, I then turned to my left and this is what I saw!

Ty is so excited...

to be a...
Yes, it's true! I am pregnant! I am 13 weeks and due July 24th. We are so excited and happy for this addition to come to our family. We have been extremely blessed with this baby because as most of you know, we did in vitro with Ty. We were told that we could pretty much never have kids on our own, without fertility treatments. Well, the doctors were wrong. We got pregnant all on our own. What a miracle!

Just some fun pictures

We went to the park on Christmas Eve because it was pretty nice outside. Ty LOVES the park and could play there all day.

Ty got these new Pajamas for Christmas.

Ty loves bean quesadillas!

Crazy Climber!

Here is proof that Ty LOVES to climb up onto anything. He goes to the end of the couch then works his way up to the window. Scary! I, of course, had to take a picture before I saved my child's life! hahaha!

Ty's Birthday Party

Friday we had a little birthday party for Ty. He had 5 friends over. It was a lot of fun. They ate cupcakes and caramel corn and played, played, played!

Happy 1st Birthday Ty!

Today is Ty's 1st Birthday. I can't believe my baby is 1-year old. He has been such a joy to us. He likes to climb up on the couch, walk to the edge and jump off. He thinks it's the funnest thing ever. He is going to break a leg, I just know it. He can say Hi, Ty, Dad and Hot. He is really good at waving too. He loves to hide things from us and then turn to us and put his hands in the air and make this little noise that sounds like a high-pitched "where is it?" It is so cute! Well, once again, a picture with his bear! See how big he has gotten? This will be the last monthly picture with the bear. So sad.

Giving Thanks

We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends this year. We had 10 people over to our house for a potluck dinner. I made the turkey (first time) and everyone else brought side dishes. It turned out great and everything was yummy.

We are so thankful for our sweet boy, Ty. He is such a blessing to us and a joy in our lives. We are thankful for miracles, blessings, friends, family and the gospel. We are thankful that we are healthy. We are thankful that Spencer has this wonderful opportunity to be in law school and we are thankful it is almost over! :)

After dinner we decorated gingerbread houses, made out of graham crackers.
