Another Baby Quilt

My younger sister Stephanie is pregnant, expecting her first child. She is having a boy and I couldn't be happier for her and her husband. I made a baby quilt for the new little one, who is due July 10, about 10 days before my baby. I tried a new technique called free motion quilting or stippling on this quilt. I loved how it turned out, all crinkly. Congratulations Stephanie and Josh.

you did such an amazing job! You are so talented. Taylor & I are taking a quilting class which I hope will help me out. Good thing I gave you a baby outfit for TY when he was born & didn't wait until the quilt was done I was making. I am almost done, but man it has been a pain! It is not in any shape to give away...bummer! Congrats to Steph, that is soooo exciting! Hope you are doing well too in your pregnancy.

Hey Heid's is that machine quilted? Do you have a special machine to do that, a free arm?

You're amazing! That is the cutest blanket ever. I wish we lived closer to eachother so then you could show me how you did that.

That is adorable! Do you have to have a special needle?

I used a "darning" foot on my machine. They are pretty inexpensive, mine was $20. No special needle. I did use monopoly thread (clear) on top and white cotton thread in the bobbin. I did the squiggles freehand, no pattern, just moved the quilt all around.
