I have been trying to explain to people how dirty our water gets after a storm so I took this picture to prove my point. This is a completely clean toilet and we had just had a big rain storm. See how gross it is. I can't do laundry because the water is so brown. Even when it hasn't been raining the water looks a little weird. We buy all our water for drinking and cooking.

WHAT! Nasty. Is that just b/c your pipes are old? Good thing you guys are trying to find a new place. That's kind of irritating that the previous owners didn't tell you any of that.
I can't believe that!! Even Puerto Rico isn't that bad, and that's saying something.
If it makes you feel better though, if it rains really hard where we live, our power always goes out for a few hours. Sweat city.
