Hi, my name is Heidi and...

I'm a sewaholic!! I am addicted to sewing. I just love sweing and creating things. I finish a project and right away start on another one. I find things on the internet and say to myself, "I can make that." I'll have to post a few of my favorite crafty blogs on my blog page so you too can be crafty.

I made this dress for Kate. There wasn't a pattern, just a few steps written out. I got it from the blog, MADE. I love this blog, and she is sister-in-laws with a really close friend of mine!
I made this cute felt heart garland. I got the idea from this blog. Very cheap, very easy and very, very cute! I then made this reversible nursing cover/apron for my sister, Stephanie. She has been wanting one for a long time and 2 days ago I found this free tutorial on how to make one. I also made a cute bag to go with it to keep it nice and cozy in the diaper bag, or on the run.

Lots of color!

Ty painting with water colors, and getting it all over his face in the meantime. He loves to draw, color, paint, scribble, etc.
We made homemade play-dough. Ty had a blast playing with it and cutting out shapes with cookie cutters. We have been storing it in empty baby food containers, love it.
Recipe:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
1 TBSP Alum (we didn't have this so I left it out, I don't know what it is or what it does??)
2 cups boiling water
2 TBSP oil
any food coloring you want to use

Homemade Christmas

I made a few gifts this year for Christmas. And without realizing, so did a lot of my other siblings. Here are a few of them.

My sister Holli made this dress for Kate.I made this color wheel wall hang for my brother Brandon and his wife Becky.
I made this quilt for Spencer. He has been asking for one for about a year so I thgouth it was time to make him one.
I made these dishtowels for my mom.
My sister Steph made these oven mitts for my sister Holli. My sister Jenn made this apron for her daughter, Dana.
I used my sister's apron (above) as a guide and I made one just like it for my sister-in-law, Becky.
And I also made 4 of these countdown block sets for myself and my sister-in-law, Jenna. Two for Christmas and two for Halloween.

Christmas

Christmas night we set out cookies for Santa.
Christmas morning was so fun with Ty. He was excited to see what presents and toys Santa brought for him. It is a tradition in our family to line up, youngest to oldest, Christmas morning in our pajamas and take a picture before we walk into the living room and see what Santa brought for us. This is a picture of the kids (and their spouses) who were at my mom's house over the Christmas break. The rest of the siblings who are married and have their own families come over later that afternoon to open presents. I love the look on Ty's face when we opens his Tigger remote control car. So cute!

Cousins and Cookies

We spent Christmas Eve at Spencer's sisters house. They have 5 kids and live on a farm in Payson. When we tell Ty we are going there, he says we are going to the farmer house. Spencer's brothers family was there too with their 2 kids. All the cousins had a blast making sugar cookies together.

Happy Birthday!

December 22nd was Ty's 2nd Birthday. I can't believe he is 2 years old. He is so grown-up. He is 32.2 lbs (89 percentile) and 37 3/4" tall (100 percentile, off the charts). He talks non stop all day long. He says EVERYTHING we say. He loves to dance, he loves Toy Story, he loves Mickey Mouse and Pooh, he loves to play with daddy when he gets home from work, he loves to help mommy cook, he loves to help Kate, and he loves being 2!

Law School Friends

We miss all our law school friends so much! The 3 years we spent in Virginia at law school hold some of our greatest memories, best of friends and happiest times. Over the holiday break we were able to see quite a few of our friends.

"Mom, I Tired."

Lately Ty will bring me his blanket and tell me he is tired and then he will lay down on the stairs and want me to cover him up with his blanket and lay down with him. He is so funny. He only stays there for a few minutes and then he tells me, "I wake up." And off he goes to play. Silly boy!

A Snowman and A Christmas Tree

We had a good snow fall a couple of weeks ago and my mom and Ty built this awesome snowman. Ty loved playing in the snow, eating the snow, throwing the snow and everything else you can do with snow.
Me, Ty, my mom and my 2 sisters picked out our Christmas tree. Ty thought is was pretty cool running around all the trees.

4 & 5 Months Old

I am really behind on posting stuff on my blog, sorry! This is my attempt to catch-up.

Here are pictures of Kate 4 and 5 months old. She has her 2 bottom middle teeth and she sits up all on her own. She loves smiling, laughing and especially squealing.
