Giving Thanks

We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends this year. We had 10 people over to our house for a potluck dinner. I made the turkey (first time) and everyone else brought side dishes. It turned out great and everything was yummy.

We are so thankful for our sweet boy, Ty. He is such a blessing to us and a joy in our lives. We are thankful for miracles, blessings, friends, family and the gospel. We are thankful that we are healthy. We are thankful that Spencer has this wonderful opportunity to be in law school and we are thankful it is almost over! :)

After dinner we decorated gingerbread houses, made out of graham crackers.

11 Months Old!

Ty just turned 11 months old. He is so much fun I can't even stand it. We have a blast with him everyday. He is into climbing up on things lately, which always keeps me on my toes. His new thing is to tip his shopping cart over and then climb up on it and then stand up. He is all boy that is for sure.

Auction for a good cause

One of my friends out here is putting together an auction for baby Mia. She is a little girl that has had a heart transplant and her family is burdened with many medical bills. I made and donated a baby blanket to the auction. Click HERE to see the items up for bid and the blanket I made. The auction ends Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 6pm eastern time. And you can also read about Mia's story HERE and make a donation. This is a great cause and a perfect time of year to remember those who are going through difficult times.

Ty the Tiger!

Halloween was so much fun. The Law Families Club got together and had a fun group photo of all the kids then we went trick-or-treating downtown to all the shops. The kids (and parents) had so much fun.

10 Months Old!

Ty turned 10 months old today so another picture with his bear. His bear is getting smaller and he is getting bigger. He is 22 lbs. 7 oz. - 60% range and he is 30.5 inches tall - 95% range. If only I could be so lucky to be tall and skinny! HA! He is walking like crazy and is getting super fast. He talks a lot more and uses more range with his voice, up then down, then up again, it is super cute. He loves it when we read to him. He will sit in our laps for quite a while as we read books over and over again. I love it because he isn't so snugly, he always has to be up and doing something, so reading books is my favorite part of the day.

9 Months Old

Here is our big boy. He has grown up so fast. He is still trying to walk, he takes about 3-5 steps a couple of times a day. I am trying to get it on video, but it is at random times and never when I am ready with the camera...of course.
He is trying to throw bear off of the couch to have the spotlight all to himself.

Project #4 - Table Runner

I made a table runner to match the kitchen curtains. It's really simple and was quite easy to put together. I'm deciding whether or not to quilt it in some sort of design....ummm....what do you think? I have 2 more projects that I want to finish then I am done...for now. We'll see if I get to the other 2, I'm getting worn out! HA!!

Project #3 - Quilt for Baby Ian

Ian Weber was born July 2nd, to my oldest sister, Jennifer. He was barley over 6lbs when he was born and still is just so small. I wanted to make him a quilt a long time ago but never got around to it. When we got back to Virginia, I was going through my fabric and realized that I had enough leftover fabric from the quilt I made Ty to make something for Ian. I got the design idea from Amy Butler. She has free patterns on her website. Enjoy baby Ian!
